I know it seems like a hell of a statement to make, what with the other retrowave giants out there like 18 Carat Affair and a few others.
I don't group Sloslylove in with the "retrowave" genre though... the guy is just in a league of his own.
I love the Retrowave genre with its fabulous space-themed, wokeass graphics. Hot as fire.
Some of their accent percussion is a little fast in my opinion... they could stand to use some hard, heavy slow shit every now and then. They do that... and oh my God, they'll be the greatest retrowave outfit in history. To edit their songs would be sacrilegious. Whoever is behind this music is genius.
Definitely the "darker" variety of retrowave... my personal favorite.
