Zane was born this way.
Who Zane is and the reason he makes the choices he makes...
It's DNA deep.
And those tendencies can be developed into something good, or they can be turned totally inward and lead only to self-destruction.
Zane was never honed in childhood to be the kind of exacted force he could have been...
You don't leave a kid like Zane (was) to his own devices and just let him willy nilly do whatever the fuck he wants.
He's always been SEVERELY IMPRESSIONABLE and never had ANYONE who knew what the fuck was up to help guide him...
Whatsoever.
Used to be he was doing pretty decently and making it pretty well, considering how it could have gone terribly wrong for him many times in his early life.
But then severe trauma struck and he was driven to the brink by threat of loss...
The pressure was too much and he ran away like a wounded animal.
And here we are.
