It’s shocking to me that anyone can actually believe there are parts of the body which serve no function... much less those in the intestines. 

No matter how far people want to suggest humanity has advanced, it’s this kinda stuff that keeps me believing we’re really just not that impressive. Unless being impressively ignorant counts for anything.

Apparently, post-appendectomy, the chances of developing Parkinson’s goes up, as does the risk of colorectal cancer...

The explanation of the appendix housing good bacteria makes a lot of sense. Good bacteria is foundational to proper digestive function etc. so it only makes sense they’d encourage appendectomies to keep people sick and dependent on big pharma for the rest of their lives.
