Hmmm 
I wonder if it’s the same in instances like rhinoplasty when an osteotomy is performed and the bone is broken/cut??

Seems like it would be subject to the same residual ache.

Maybe it’s not the bone damage that cause the permanent occasional ache... maybe it’s damage to surrounding tissue or nerves.
