Researchers have developed a humanoid robot prototype capable of heavy labor

i'm not sure their birthrate really warrants an `emergency.` as a nation's quality of life increases, there tends to be a natural decline in birthrate. they are also packed into an island with limited space, and this has an effect on every type of being's birthrate. it would naturally start to rise up again in a couple decades. the media's been playin up their birthrate for a while to try to force them to accept immigrants, but they are wise enough to refuse and remain homogeneous.

i'm not sure why groups want to create bipedal humanoid robots for industrial purposes. aside from the fact that it advances sexbot tech, it only serves to create limitations on the robots abilities. they should be more like spiders or ants, with multipurpose limbs and a storage bay. maybe a centaur, that still gives you a storage bay and much more leverage.
