the games industry had been putting out stellar numbers, so they got targeted midway through the PS2 era. DiGRA/DARPA/DoD/CIA saw the value of programming people through gaming. that hasn't been working as well as they'd hoped, so the AAA game devs are on the chopping block. the idea is to kill off the big time devs whose fans are against the propaganda and mind control, and most of the others too. they'd get bought up in bankruptcy and some new megacorp dev would be founded, but this time they'd be 100% pure propaganda and mind control.
there's going to be a lot of very confused and angry stupid people in 2019. i read a quote today that sums up my thoughts on stupid people.
