Because when we were kids, people used to tell us TV WASN’T REAL.
We knew that.
And it still monumentally fucked our minds.
Now people are watching YouTubr under the guise of it being a bunch of actual people just sharing their lives, but NOOO.
ESPECIALLY the popular channels advertise in covert ways and don’t even make it clear it’s all sponsored anymore. They’re paid to make suggestions to people by mentioning stuff as if it was their own thoughts/opinions.
BECAUSE it’s SUPPOSEDLY just “regular other people”, the monkey see/monkey do psychological impact is so much more powerful.
It’s dangerous.
