This is a great example of why retrowave is better with no vocals.
Great music (for the most part), excellent video...
But if only there were no words.
A few tastefully placed vocal clips would have been a lot better.
Her voice isn't 100% repulsion, I've heard much worse in the retrowave genre.
But in no way should there be singing all over this song.
People in the comments ask if there's an instrumental version...
It's because really, we just don't want to hear vocals on retrowave unless the vocals themselves are believably retro.
Artists like Kristine, Denys Parker (18 Carat Affair), Adam McNab (La Cassette)...
They are believably retro and totally excellent.
