I'm not incredibly fond of the YouTube links being automatically embedded...

There are times when I don't want to embed a video, on purpose.

If there was no way to get around it becoming embedded, I'd be very annoyed.

I like the effort of using tags to make embeds work...

It makes people less dumb (a tiny, tiny bit less) about the way code and all that kinda shit supports the internet.

I feel like all this ease of use has just totally dumbed people down, made them lazy, and given them no reason to consider how all this shit actually works.

Just my personal opinion.
