About chat and notifications...
As I mentioned earlier, notifications will be displayed in the chat.
If you're online, private notifications and messages will go to both the chat and your inbox. (Only you will be able to see them in chat.) Otherwise they will only go to your inbox. You'll also be able to send private messages from chat. The chat will generally support most IRC/WinMX commands.
Public notifications will be sent to the chatroom only. If a public event happens when you're offline, you won't be notified.
Public event types:
* Arrive / Depart (someone logs in or out)
* Post (someone posts in the forum or to their blog)
* Message (obviously, chat messages will be public and appear in chat)
* Upload (someone uploads a file)
Private events:
* Message (you receive a private message)
* Invite, Decline, Accept (someone invites you somewhere, or accepts or declines an invitation you sent them)
* Comment (someone comments on your profile, blog post, or a file you uploaded)
* Mention (someone mentions you in chat while you're online, or in a forum or blog post or a comment)
* Reply, Quote (someone replies to a thread you started or quotes your forum post)
* View (someone views your profile)
* Download (someone downloads a file from your personal library)
As no e-mail address is required to register, the system will not send notifications via e-mail. Having an inbox full of forum notifications is fucking annoying anyway. I hate having to change a setting I didn't ask for in the first place.
