On a busy site, that's going to flood the chat to an unacceptable degree.

If it can be easily and apparently disabled, then it's fine...

But that's not a setting you're gonna wanna require people to look around too hard for.

Noobs will just be scared off by the chaotic appearance as soon as they step in.
