This guy has some pretty interesting observations about Peterson, and he's a psychotherapist...
1:40 I couldn't agree with him more on this first point... what the hell was Peterson thinking?
What if you're a BAD parent?? What if you're just a bad person, or you have WARPED views and preferences, due to mental illness or something? Your kids doing things that make you "dislike them" is totally subjective. What if you're crazy and you DISLIKE respectable traits? What if your kids just turn out to be a lot smarter than you are and you don't understand certain things they do, I mean... God, there are like a thousand things that could go wrong with this "rule". If your kid turns out smarter than you and you just don't "get" them, I don't think the answer is to "not let them do" things that make you "dislike them", you'll end up warping them and spoiling their chance at being BETTER than you ever were. That "rule" would keep people in perpetually destructive generational cycles. It's horrible advice.
3:15 Mackler is absolutely right.
12:48 exactly.
20:00 that's not peaceful parenting... Stefan Molyneux would be very disappointed.
