The New Gmail Design Is Confusing, Slow and Looks Like Shit!

So fed up with the "new" Gmail design...

It's such pure and utter crap and doesn't even work right.

I've set it to load the HTML version every time instead using the URL bar.

There's no setting anywhere I can find that makes loading the HTML version the default.
