There are probably people for sure who will be able to figure out where he is with enough effort. But they might not bother... I wouldn't.
As for when he starts posting song clips and whatnot, it's likely people will easily be able to find out his real identity if his name appears in any of the gig/ad literature.
I think on some level he must want that.
