It's especially bad when it's dude YouTubers who show off their girlfriends.
I'm sorry but it SLAUGHTERS the ladyboners in your audience and dramatically lessens interest in your channel.
There are exceptions to every rule of course... it's not ALWAYS a death knell.
But it usually is. LOL! Especially if your channel didn't start out with you having a girlfriend and forcing her on your damn audience.
It's probably a bummer when chick YouTubers show off their BFs too, but for some reason I don't think it's AS bad.
That said, it does annoy me... it straight up does annoy me when a chick YouTuber is all talking about her BF, or showing her BF, or worst of all, she's being filmed by her BF.
I notice that I lose interest in even the chick channels that do this. Wow.
What does that say about human nature? I really don't know...
All I know is, don't show off your significant other in your videos. Nobody fricken cares.
People come to your channel to watch you, and it's a bucket of icewater over the head whenever significant others are brought into the picture... it's bad for business, just stop. Don't.
