Aren’t people at core dishonest, though? Why would Leos be a step above the rest when it comes to dishonesty? It actually seems like subterfuge. The real perpetrators get out the door safely while the big lion is left holding the bag. It also doesn’t weight in on the ethics of lying. Hall and Pritchard provide a good introduction to this in the classic text, Detecting Malingering and Deception: Forensic Distortion Analysis.
