Supernatural - Season 4, Episode 17 - "It's A Terrible Life"

WTF is this another "It's A Wonderful Life" themed episode again?? Like another "what would have been" story?? They do that a lot with this show eh?

1:33 Dean SMITH?! The fuck!? Agh, this office kinda life looks so sterile and boring, so soulless. So... normie.

1:48 that's an amazing looking salad though, let's be honest.

Who the hell wants to live a normal life?? It sounds so damn sad.

4:11 it's "GEE" MILF you fucking morons.

8:09 NGL I'm super into Sam in this episode... he's being more attractive than the Dean character.

The default search engine they're always using in the Supernatural universe is "SearchTheWeb" and here's a page about why movies and shows invent a search engine other than Google...

https://www.profoundry.co/fake-fictional...movies-tv/

Essentially, Google didn't agree to it, or they never bothered asking, or they don't have a deal with them, never made one, whatever the case. Pretty interesting.

10:18 wooooow... things just got weiiiird!!!!!!!!!!!!

12:33 so what's going on?? What's the deal with this story?

15:55 LOL the master cleanse... that recipe was pretty popular online circa 2011 if I recall correctly.

18:20 ROFLROFLROFL I love these two, I really do.

19:50 OMG super creepy looking old ghost dude!!!

21:20 there's really a pretty interesting underlying moral story here and that's pretty cool.

23:55 so here is a sort of reference to the economic climate at the time, 2009 etc. This was the time of changes which took place to the political landscape... I was anticipating seeing what direction the show would take during this time.

26:17 it's interesting how Dean/Sam, in (apparently) some other timeline, are learning from these douche nerd ghost hunter guys' online videos, wherein they're sharing tips they actually GOT from the Winchesters. It's an interesting allegory about reincarnation and sewing seeds in your current lifetime so you can reap the fruit in the next lifetime... and not even know it.
