Yes, I sure do remember it!!! The details are fuzzy but it all starts with a simple scratch from a nail.
I thought the same - Pa comes back at the very last second right when she's made all the preparations and is holding the big knife about to cut her own leg off. No? I'll have to re-watch it.
Riveting episode, sucked me all the way in.
Kind of reminds me of that wordless Twilight Zone with the little invaders and the woman alone in the house.
(Except I never liked that one).
