it was a nice birb, a house sparrow, i believe. there's a hole in the awning in front of my work, and the birbs like to get up in there and nest. somehow a bit of string or fishing line got up there and snagged the ankle of the birb, hanging it upside down. so, i grabbed a chair and pair of scissors to set him free. he was freakin out a bit at first, flappin around, but then we made eye contact and had an infinite moment. he relaxed with his wings outstretched, and i quickly snipped the line. with absolute grace he twisted into a vector away from me and glided then flew off across the parking lot.
