Love is the worst human construct. The most corruptible, and exploited emotion. It is an intoxicating and indulgent thing. New love is sublime. New. Promising. Is the downward spiral worth the effort? I genuinely ask this forum honestly. I often weight the pros and cons. There is NOTHING like being held and told someone will never leave. News flash....it is inevitable. Relationships stunt personal growth. Either someone is holding you back,or even worse, you are the dead weight. When i meet someone i am in to, i am haunted by the thought of how bad it will hurt when this person is washing down my freshly ripped out heart with a white claw, heading to girls night for 2 dollar mojitos with her fuck me outfit on. Swiping right on tender,when i finish my fifth of jim beam listening to keith Whitley. Is love worth it? I wonder how others feel. I went on a month long back packing trip after watching my grampa take his last breath. His wife or 60 years,my mema, got caught in traffic and was not there. They bulit a castle on the sand. A magnificent american dream,washed away by the tides of the universe. She is left standing on the beach,confused in early dementia, not knowing where her partner of 60 years is. All you need is love. Well,ask John Lennon how that story ended. Love can be the warmest sunset. Or the darkest black hole. Its a dangerous substance. I feel like firing off some knuckle children and avoiding the whole painful disappointment.may be a viable option
