Seriously, it's getting out of hand. I run into sites all the time (usually news sites and really popular blogs) that have a pop up after a few seconds that you can't close and it's holding the page ransom. Demanding I turn off my ad blocker.

Lame as fuck and those sites are going to suffer if they keep taking this approach...

Somebody just innovate for fuck's sake... your silly little demands aren't working.

Sometimes I go into the web console and edit the HTML of the popup to make it disappear. Owned.

Face it, banner ads etc. are a thing of the past...
