Going over Grand Bahama hasn't effected Dorian's formation at all...

It hasn't weakened it. And from the way it's looking, it's actually gotten stronger.

It's like it's going through an eyewall cycle without ever losing the form of the eyewall.

Pretty serious indicator of a directional shift about to take place.

My bets are on it going south...

But either way it's about to make a turn in one direction or the other.

Dorian still west at 6mph w/180mph winds.
Now possibility 74-110 mph Hurricane Force Winds inland as far north as Palm Coast & west of I-95; including intense high end Tropical Storm Force winds as far inland as Gainesville & Orlando.Please work on prep!

It's definitely going south.

It's about to push down south far enough to "ricochet" (or "slingshot") and head up toward West Palm Beach for a direct hit coming from almost a southwest position. It's very interesting.

Seems like that force from the north is pushing it straight down, then the force from the Gulf will feed its spin and send it WSW and then sharply north into Florida.
