Katie Carney

I admit it, I clicked for the tiddies. I only lasted 55 seconds.

"So a lot like real life then, huh?"

Go fuck yourself, trash-talking voice in my head. *sigh*

I think Katie needs to make an OnlyFans.

She may as well, that and a GoFundMe.
Seems like the go-to for everyone these days.

I laughed about all the Katie Carney stuff, I watched her videos quite a bit at one time because, well, at a point in my life when things weren't too great, I slept in my car occasionally, even though I had a house. A story I don't really want to go into beyond that, but that then I started to see her for what she really is: a user, a teaser (of men) , and someone who needs good, consistent professional mental health help!  She is always friending someone and living with them a while, living off of them (I assume) and being overly dramatic (like the video about "being left in a burning house; apparently the fire was put out before she even woke up and so...) but she says THAT is what has triggered all her depression, etc., etc., She alludes constantly to her mental health problems but won't say exactly what they are.  And she has a LOT of followers who ardently defend her whenever some criticism comes her way: to them, she can do no wrong!  They always reply with something like "You just ignore those haters, sweet Katie, WE love you and know you're the BEST! You are so wonderful and inspirational and you just remember that we love you and will always be there for you!"  Yeah.  Comments like that.  I heard on another thread that she had a "meet-up" about a year or so ago (apparently she has these once in while where she is in a town and decides to hose a meet up where she meets her devoted followers in person). It was so funny: the person commented that all the people who showed up were grandmother types (probably about like me, lol) who brought their grandchildren(NOT like me!) and that Katie was wearing stiletto heels and Daisy Duke shorts and an off the shoulder T shirt, obviously looking for...uh...well...NOT grandmothers with their grandkids. It was so darned funny and right on point!

This is the exact reason that yesterday, after commentating on a couple of other YouTubers, I concluded that these mindless followers are dangerous.

As a whole, I think having a YouTube following can be dangerous.

They will cheer you on as you're running off a cliff, and viciously attack anyone who dare speak out and suggest that the YouTuber SHOULDN'T run off the cliff...

And I'm not saying they do it out of bad intentions or something...

They're just mindless "supporters" who don't know these YouTubers in real life, and therefore, they don't have any concept of consequences and will never have to deal with the real aftermath of the decisions they support these YouTubers into making.

Mister Obvious,
I do believe you are right, having a bunch of YouTube followers can be a bad thing, and they, themselves, can be a bad thing when they go overboard, which they often do.  I have to say, I also noticed when I watched her, that she bought a LOT of stuff - a LOT.  She also encourages, now and then, her followers to "send me stuff!"  She likes buying stuff, getting stuff, and sometimes, returning stuff so so she can buy MORE stuff!  Which may be why she doesn't live in a car anymore!

She's a serial returner, too. She keeps the tags on stuff and I've even heard her talk about returning expensive beauty products. I don't agree with the approach, but apparently they allow it, so... *shrug*

Hey, she's a Leo... what're ya gonna do.

I think that's okay... I've seen other YouTubers do it way more than she does, so on that front, she is not so bad. If you have adoring viewers and they wanna send you things, why not let 'em?

True. So do I though... except for returning things, which out of all the stupid shit I've bought, I've never returned anything... besides some things I ordered online that didn't fit or just sucked in person.

I think Katie could always afford a place... she just chose to live in the car. As someone who loves roadtrips and living in the car, I can completely relate and TBH... I'm just so damn glad she got to spend so many years doing it.

Car living is one of the most fun things in the entire world... as long as it's by choice, of course.

Stopped by Katie's channel yesterday to see what she's been up to. She looks very pretty and whatnot as usual.

Apparently she's been living in an apartment for 1.5 years now, and isn't sure she ever does wanna live in her car again.

But what I didn't enjoy hearing about was the worsening of her depression... I couldn't help but think about my own experiences as she was speaking.

It occurred to me that there could be a very real reason for her depression that is outside of any trauma or other kinda stuff she may have experienced. I think she could have a hormonal imbalance, or she could simply be experiencing her body's urges to reproduce, and its punishment of her when she doesn't... check out my thread about severe PMS and how I reached some of these conclusions: https://www.sectual.com/thread-16741-pos...#pid140007

Yup, essentially...

My conclusion is that myself and other women who have severe PMS (PMDD) are being punished by our bodies for not reproducing, and that the symptoms could get worse and worse until the childbearing years are over... but there may not even be a real end to it even after that time. For real.

I know this shit is hard to hear as a female who struggles with extreme depression... but it really is a possibility that needs to be considered.

So I'm thinking all this while I'm watching her video, considering whether I should post my theory... and then she gets to the question about whether or not she wants kids, and she definitively answers that she does not want to have any children.

I couldn't help but think that these things are related, and that Katie may not be able to expect her depression to get better if this is what's causing it.

Do I think she needs to go out and reproduce just to make the depression (maybe) stop? No, hell no. Same as I don't really want to have any kids, I can understand Katie's feelings... the answer isn't just to reproduce in a desperate bid to stop these agonizing feelings.

Ultimately... I think that the hormonal cascade of depression that wreaks hell in our lives may stop if we reproduced, but it would then be replaced with (likely) equally hard emotions that result from what our life situation would become if we had to be responsible for the survival of our offspring.

Wow, she literally posted a new video while I was typing that!

Maybe I will watch this in a sec if I still have some free time.

She SAYS she's excited but I don't think she actually seems all that excited.

3:00 their lease was up and that forced her to move out basically.

She's in NY for another few weeks/months... I don't really care about the US NE.

I'll revisit her channel later on and see what she ultimately gets up to.

I still think she needs to move to UT or AZ and learn to enjoy the desert.
