It's just one of those legendary classic shows from a bygone era of politically incorrect absurdity. Certainly one of my all time favorite shows, loved watching this on TVLand when I was a youngster.
My favorite character on the show was Corinne. I just loved her name foremost, what a gorgeous name... wow. The whole devilbaby saga was priceless, and Jessica's unforgettable remark about getting pregnant from a toilet seat, ROFL. Those were the days!
I always thought Richard Mulligan was very handsome.
1:09 and Benson, LOL... just steals every scene he's in. Absolute legend. What a great show. Robert Guillaume is quite handsome as well. He enjoyed some much deserved spotlight and success for 7 seasons of his own spin-off "Benson" (1979) which aired for 3 years longer than Soap did! Not too common that a spin-off lasts longer than the original show!

I feel like Benson and I are a lot alike. If you've got a cook, why are you gonna tell them what to cook?? You obviously have them there because you can't or don't want to cook. Why not just trust the expert? But, if they had a known menu you could choose from, it'd be more reasonable to ask for specific things... it would even make sense.

5:56 The Major is a damn good character too... that's what made these shows so magical was the addition of these totally off the wall characters who just come along doing crazy random shit. Such spontaneity.
