I had an interesting thought whilst watching the sun stream thru my window...

The sunlight shone through the blinds and the curtains, creating a singular, small circular shape on the wall which was bright and twinkling.

"It looks like a star," I thought.

Then it occurred to me...

"Plot twist! It IS a star."

It's the light from the closest star, shining thru various obstacles and eventually creating a single point of light on my wall which looks exactly like a twinkling star in the night sky.

It's things like this that remind me of how simple existence and the matrix truly are to conceive of and understand at a core level.

It occurred to me whilst staring at the bright twinkling spot and marveling that doing so was just as comforting as watching stars in the night sky. It felt just as vast and wondrous to observe this twinkling starlike spot on the wall as it did to stare at a night sky, and I wondered how that could be... then I realized it's because it's the sun.
