I can honestly say I've never hated anyone...

Nobody.

I've disliked people... vehemently even. But I just can't say I've ever hated anybody and I'm grateful for that.

I think hate, like any other negativity, is so useless and harmful. I really do think it's destructive to not only the mental state, but the physical state as well.

It's for this same reason that I'm against feeding negative attitudes, like that of doominess (the #1 example I've witnessed in my life). Racism is also a terrible negativity, although not as commonly encountered as other general attitudes of negativity.

Once when I was a kid, I used the word "hate" involving something or somebody, I can't remember... but someone quickly corrected me saying "You should NEVER use the word 'hate'. It's an ugly word and much too harsh."

Really stuck with me. I haven't succeeded in never using the word over the years, but that statement has always rang in the back of my mind whenever I have used it.
