They're amazing. Look at the advancement of evolutionary courtship and
what a male bird is willing to become for a chance at the continuity of life
with another rare and advanced form of aviary life. Some males wait their
entire life for one shot that's over in minutes. Procuring it's destiny it takes
sometimes half an hour of dancing and showing off what nature has given
them.
The courtship is straight out of science fiction novel with it's alien ways.
All those techniques, the painted jewelry of it's feathers and superb geometry
of new types of wing design and feather patterns not seen in other birds.
Their placement and the color schemes are so rich and vibrant.
It's not sweet; it's just nature but the notion of personifying this
really seems romantic despite it's lack of romance at all; not the kind we
deem anyway as humans.
They really are splendid to watch. A nice reminder of the
beauty of this earth and a rare breed of it's teachers. We learn from what
we observe, making the net after the spiders, the glider after birds, etc.
They are birds of Earth. Humans can make Earth a paradise if prevail over
ourselves and appeal to angels of our better nature. Something may one
day study us and call us Humans of Paradise if we create it. Seems like a
very long and broad jump and idealistic sounding but realistically not
something that's completely unattainable.
Maybe not probable but then again, humans have beaten so many odds
so many times and we still prevail.
Focusing on our faults as a species is only positive if it teaches us to
evolve and we listen.
Otherwise it's feeding negativity.
It's healthy to get out disdain for humanity though, misanthropy can
lead to nihilism.
It's doesn't seem healthy to obsess and focus on the dark and broken
parts of us humans in this world if it's a loop.
Cyclic whirlpools of obsession over the bad in us do not travel up and
find new patterns, nothing emerges.
Stasis in the worlds quagmire of problems doesn't produce new "life."
It stagnates and rots it's own home. Evolution of self is production of
new life. Not just procreative acts.
Sustained beauty and evolution of self in a sea of shit is the actual
"survival of the fittest" it seems to me. I don't delude myself and
think I'm not in a shit storm of a period of maturation and development
and it seems we always has been but there feels like something big
is occurring right now and up close it looks shitty and crazy but standing
far back it appears as if it may be a necessary painful "growing pain" of
our species. It's as if humanity's "condition" is coming out of long period
of adolescence and trying so hard to "grow up" despite the childish
clutching to the ways of children of some.
I woke up early, not the typical for me but I loved the sound of singing
birds before the dawn broke and it was really nice being surrounded by
the sounds of birds singing and reminded me of a type of beauty in that
brief solitude I encountered.
Those thoughts led to a state of mind paradise which coupled with the
the recall of these "Birds of Paradise."
A reminder of how beautiful the earth is and it's inhabitants.
I'm really fucking tired man and rambling over a simple concept but
it's not easy for me to be brief and still illustrate a point if it's not
that simple.
Watching these birds are simple, enjoying them are simple.
Most have watched these before I'm sure.
I'd think the birds of paradise should have be put to your favorite
ethereal sounding relaxing ambient jams and checked out sometime.
Maybe I'll do that myself; make a compilation of these birds, put it
to some instrumental music that pleases me and watch it sometimes
like a pill I made if only to briefly take me out of my mind's shit show
when the negativity gets to be a bit much.
