When police departments are underfunded, they tend to fund themselves through speed traps, asset seizures, and other means. Or they just fold altogether. The town of Winona, Texas has no police department because the police chief embezzled all of its funds.
Do these protesters really want the cops pulling them over every time they turn around over some petty infraction?
Do they want to lose their cars and homes over a small amount of marijuana?
Do they want to be at the mercy of violent criminals, with no prospect of help ever arriving?

idk i had my house broken into 3 seperate times over a few years and on the last occasion after calling the police the guy writing up the b/e report told me i should just move to a different neighborhood. Another time i was awoken at 2am to loud noises just feet outside my window . I peeked out to see 3 cops with a big german sheppard chasing a dude who had just robbed the gas station nearby. He got over the 6 foot fence easily being slim and fit while the overweight police and dog kept failing . My nerves had enough and i moved . And yeah i have gotten about 5 lame ass speeding tickets . So a part of me wonders if we all might just be ok by owning several guns to protect our lives . Think about how corrupt the fbi is covering up 9/11 and fake school shootings to this day

Maybe pay them on a performance basis? The less people they kill the more they earn?
The cops is a leftist union in itself. Having said that look at those 2 poor officers in Atlanta, they gave that space cadet so many chances.

Dumbasses. Winona is a city in Smith County, Texas, United States. The population was 576 at the 2010 census.It really never needed a police department to begin with. Not a good example. It is a good example in the fact that corruption can create a false need where there is none for income revenue generation.

Probably true. The Smith County sheriff's department patrols Winona anyway, so it's not like they're completely without police services.

I'm not gonna watch the whole hour and a half video, but it does appear that the officers were initially very respectful and had no intention of arresting the driver or giving him a ticket.
It may sound racist, but a lot of black Americans don't know how to act when confronted by a police officer. They tend to become confrontational.
When a cop arrests you or writes a ticket, he really is just doing his job. It's not for him to decide guilt or punishment, or to weigh mitigating circumstances. It's wise to just wait till you get to the police station or the courtroom to sort it all out. Cops are in fear for their lives every minute they're out on the streets. Not a good place to try to plead your case or make any sudden moves.

They were extremely generous with that guy, they gave him EVERY opportunity
to be straight with them but he chose to lie his ass off at every turn and his

Anybody that can watch the first 45 minutes of that video and STILL say he was
"innocent" and that burning down the Wendy's was justified needs to be shot in
