I'm gonna tell you one of the biggest skincare secrets right now...

Baby Aquaphor...

Of course regular Aquaphor is good too, BUT...

There are a few additional key ingredients in Baby Aquaphor that make it far superior...

This is a VERY versatile skincare product.

It's not only used like a lotion would be, but it can also be used as a 'makeup' of sorts.

Of course you're going to be going with a very natural look if you're just using Aquaphor, lol...

But it's legitimately ALL you need, and it is now above Aveeno in rank of importance.

That's a big deal.

And yes, it's a petroleum based product, that's not lost on me. I get it.

But I'm telling you, it's good stuff.

If you're an absolute skincare puritan and you won't use petroleum based products, then you need to get some of this, the second most important skincare product...

Paraffin based zinc oxide ointment (cream).

It's white so it's not going to be good for the same things a transparent ointment like Aquaphor is...

But it's absolutely foundational and necessary if you want to have a great skin protectant that also functions as a sunscreen, BTW.

Lastly, liquid aloe vera is a necessity, but I don't consider it a "product" because it's a plant. Having said that, most people probably don't have an aloe plant around (props if you do though!) so this type of product is what I'd recommend...

And if you want to really go for the gusto with your aloe, get yourself some of this in addition...

Absolutely amazing stuff, but be careful using it on your face. This one is recommended for body use only. Pure 100% aloe goes on your face.

I'll also mention that you should be utilizing your natural sebum production for the ultimate beauty/skincare experience.

Paraffin based zinc oxide also acts as an effective natural deodorant/antiperspirant.

From a male perspective you don't use aftershave after shaving its just alcohol with scents.
Use that Vaseline deep restore cream rub it all over your face and head.
Or you can buy expensive shave oil or gel which is good.
A chick told me this when I was working on motorcycles I used to get like lesions on my fingers.
Then I started using chem3 gloves and after it makes you look like your hands have been soaking in water for 24 hours cos they sweat.
You put that deep restore now I get no big funky shit on my fingers they are all nice.
Fuck people have told me I look 30.
You pat some aftershave for the smell but never use it on your skin after shaving it destroys your skin.

I'm pretty embarrassed that I've only just now realized Aveeno is basically just lube.

Silicone... dimethicone.

Period. For real.

That's basically all it is.

We might as well all go out and buy a bottle of Astroglide and rub it all over ourselves because that's all Aveeno is.

Same with Jergens etc.

I feel deceived... but I also feel freed by this truth.

And I swear that's MOSTLY what it is. Anytime I put it on now, the lube is the first thing I notice.

So I ordered a huge bottle of KY silicon lube on sale from Amazon.

I am NOT getting bent over and fucked by Aveeno anymore...

At least it was never sans lube. But it was still a fuckin'.

Plus, I mean, KY represent!?

Honestly...

Whatever they put in Aveeno to make it that creamy color is such an afterthought.

The whole thing is a gimmick. I bet those other ingredients do next to nothing.

You're better off slathering your face in aloe and topping it off with lube.

Aveeno is still the best lotion if you're gonna buy lotion though... don't get me started on all the shit wrong with those other brands.

WAIT. NO. FUCK AVEENO!!!

Listen, old habits die hard. I've been on the Aveeno bandwagon for a long time, this isn't gonna change overnight.

I will say though, you could make a bottle of Aveeno go FAR by mixing in some lube whenever it's like half empty. I used to put in bottled water whenever it started running low and that was fine too.

I'm gonna be lubed from head to toe.

Actually that's incorrect... part of the way aloe works is in its evaporation process, and it can't evaporate if it's sealed in.

The only thing I do to my face is splash water on it. I'm getting old but my skin isn't bad.
I could maybe try aloe... and even if it didn't need to evaporate I think skipping the lube is probably a good idea.
Don't see many lubed faces around here... Imagine Walmart with the same people but everyone's face lubed up all shiny...
I'm not sure that would be good.

Shit man, I'ma tell you what...

My skin is dry as hell this winter and I'm willing to try just about anything.

Right now my solution is lube, but sooner or later, it's gonna be south Florida...

Can't stand winter, ain't good for nothin'.

Dunno if I'm desperate enough to move to south Texas though.

For obvious reasons.

Besides, it just doesn't sound wet enough.

I'm gonna need some ocean.

But in all seriousness... makeup primer (the shit you put all over your face before applying makeup) is basically just dimethicone. So I've pretty much just hacked the system and made it my bitch by putting straight lube on my face. I am awakened.
