It actually wasn't something I noticed a ton this year...
I think they need to drop that DST bullshit, it's so made up. It's messed up for them to fuck around that way, who gave 'em the fuckin' right? Literally no one.

Yeah, we the lower 47 need to revolt - like Arizona did. They don't fuck with no time change.
It's gotdayum UnAmur'can!!

Hmmm... wow.
Arizona has so much going for it except for turning into a blue state.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure New Mexico does the time change either!?
Well there's a Google search.

Sigh...
New Mexico. 90% not as great as Arizona, yet 100% better than Arizona directly in the center of White Sands National Park.
IF THAT MAKES SENSE

White Sands owns my mind/body/soul.

I've only ever made it somewhat close to White Sands, but I think it's a great place.
It's on my future-trips-to-take list.

She likes making snow angels in the gypsum. And that's okay.

White Sands and Meteor Crater are the top two lesser known places to see, in my honest opinion.
Everyone knows about the Grand Canyon (for example), and it's cool and all, but I'd take Meteor Crater over it any day. Everyone also knows about Monument Valley, but I think it's actually under-hyped. It's one of the most intensely magical places in the USA, IMO. So my Top 3 are White Sands, Meteor Crater, and Monument Valley.

I guess it depends on your aesthetic preferences.
Typically I'd be team anything brown/orange... But White Sands?? I dunno man. It's paradise.

I'm about to attempt granola...
![]() Why am I feeling particularly unconfident about this?!?
04-05-2023, 04:55 PM
I guess it's just cuz I've never done it before.
Time to fix that!

So far, it's intuitive as fuck.
This is amazing. Only like half done with the process though, I will let you know how they ultimately turn out!?

So okay, they're in the oven for the last round of baking (dry ingredients were toasted beforehand)...
And wow. I VERY much enjoyed eating it off my hands after smushing it down into the pan, lmao! Oh my gosh it is so good. You could just eat it that way. And again, very intuitive process. Highly recommend you guys try this if you haven't done it before. Very good, so much better to know the exact ingredients of what you're eating. Even the "healthy" brands don't do it as good as YOU can.

Did you use the recipe in the Prepsteaders video?
04-05-2023, 06:15 PM
The ingredients I used...
Old fashioned oats, pecans, walnuts, almonds, dried apricot bits, raisins, and craisins... Mixed it together with grapeseed oil, almond butter, and honey. Here's what I don't know... Thanks to the oil, WILL they even stick together/harden up?? Lmao. I mean, even if it just turns out to be straight granola rather than granola BARS, it doesn't matter. The toasting beforehand and the almond butter/honey make the flavor so great, there's no way to lose with it in regards to flavor. There are specific personal reasons I'm not using things like coconut oil or peanut butter. This is based on ingredients recommended for me re: the blood type diet. So yeah, I will let you know if they ultimately just crumble or if they stick together. Thinking they will probably not stick together, but maybe I'm wrong. Like I said, never done this before. Thing is, I did watch a couple recipes, but I really didn't follow them. I dunno, I just didn't. So we'll see, but what I can tell you for sure so far is that the flavor is great. |
