Pop-up tents are the shit...

These are the ones in my collection...

This one would be way better if it came in dark green or something OTHER than blue, but I gotta say, it's a damn good tent.

I got in 2019 and camped in it for a bit, then I put it away in a shed without even folding it back down...

In preparation for summer, I headed out to the shed today to do some cleaning and make sure all my gear is clean and ready.

I plan to use my other tents primarily, so I thought I'd try finally folding this blue tent. I had attempted it back in 2019 but it just wasn't working.

Anyway, to my delight, it folded easy as pie. I had watched a few how-to videos over the years and remembered the basics...

9:48 this guy had the best technique I'd ever seen and it finally stuck with me.

Since it had been out in a shed experiencing all the temp/humidity fluctuations of the south for YEARS, I had anticipated the poles might just break when I attempted to fold it...

But nah. The whole process was butter smooth and I was totally impressed.

I got this mosquito net tent at the same time as the other one...

That isn't the exact listing since I actually got it from AliExpress. If I remember correctly, it has a solid (tarp-like) bottom. But even if it's a mosquito net bottom, doesn't really matter, it's going on top of a tarp anyway.

It was still new in the box and I just opened it today. I didn't take it out of the covering though, so it's still folded and whatnot.

It's a bit smaller than the blue one so it fit right into a 40 gal. trash bag easily.

Gotta be honest, I didn't even remember buying that one, so I landed ANOTHER mosquito net tent back in 2022...

This one has the solid bottom too, and a section at the top where it does provide a tiny bit of cover from the sun.

I think when I camp this summer, I'll just stick to the mosquito net tents. There's no need for the full-on tent (IMO) if the weather is nice.

I don't mind being on display to the whole world, it'll be totally fine. Maybe Bigfoot will even come and visit me!

I also landed a Coleman Classic camping stove...

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-Class...ner/895629

I sewed a protective bag for it out of an old fleece blanket.

So many good memories with those stoves, they're a staple for any household in my opinion, they come in very handy during power outages.

I have a Lifetime picnic table...

It's currently in a super bitchin' spot with lots of shade and it's on top of a large section of dirt.

I am probably gonna be putting the tent in the same area too...

Great area for camping and cooking outdoors.

Very exciting...

I'll be using my cast iron skillets.

Gonna make hamburgers, steaks, lamb chops etc.

Actually got the mosquito net tents for sunbathing rather than any intentions of camping, but I've thought about it and like I said, in this secluded area, it doesn't matter whether anyone can see into the tent or not.

Besides, I dare anybody to try some shit, I'm armed to the teeth, lmao!

Biggest concern would be coyotes or something, doubt they'd come around though...

And if they did, well, meet my little friends.

Bigfoot can come around with no worries though!

I'd never shoot at Bigfoot.

I used to have one of those Coleman stoves. I got it pretty cheap at the Army/Navy surplus store, which, alas, is no more.

They were selling like crazy this past month...

WalMart didn't have any, you couldn't get them on Amazon...

I had to get mine on eBay, but it ended up costing the same as WalMart's special price, so it's all good.

It was brand new in the box, and I think it's a 2014 model...

I thought that was really cool.

Used to cook every meal on the Coleman stove during summertime family vacations.
