Pet Plants: I think they're a great idea, still a responsibility but...

You don't feel anywhere near as bad or guilty when they die.

Plus, typically, if you have to go somewhere for an extended period of time, you can just plant them in the ground and they'll live on.

You can't say that for animals!!!

Of course, pet rocks are the lowest maintenance. Pleasurable to stroke as well, much like an animal or a pet plant.

Way way less work to take care of them, and you can store data in them too!!!

And of course one of the greatest benefits of houseplants is cleaning the air and providing more oxygen.
