I've long held the opinion that albinos come from the inner earth...

Albino humans are related to the interterrestrials.
After all, there are albino species found in caves, like albino cave salamanders...

In Kentucky, I have seen a lot of albino people in my time...
I think I've run across more of them than is normal, and it's my personal belief that it's because of the abundance of caves around here.
One very strange interaction with an albino boy several years ago has me particularly convinced that albino people come from the caves and are related to perhaps an ancient bloodline of humans who spent many generations living in the caves...
Essentially I think they took refuge in the caves during a global cataclysm, and stayed there for so long that they adapted to the low light/dark environment. Eventually they resurfaced and mated with the other humans again.
Also interesting on the topic of Kentucky is the Blue Skinned People...
