I used to play WoW. Pretty much the only vidja game I ever bothered with. MMORPG at least.
Nice. I never got into WOW. That is kind of when I stopped gaming, about that time. When I graduated college.
All the Asian dudes at my college loved that game.
Yeah so after college I tried to find work with my engineering degree. But it was 09' and no one was hiring. I was suck of working retail. I started working for my friend as a mechanic, did day labor, and even tried getting work as a handyman. I ended up homeless for a couple years, went to jail a couple times. So if I ever snap on here, that's why. I had it rough for a while. Then I went back to my mom's. Got a brief job at another restaurant, and bought a car again. Then I landed my IT job, and immediately moved the fuck out of Cali and to Arizona, bc it was a good steady job, about 8 years ago.
A lot of people who want to flee California are stuck with a house they can't sell. I guess you're lucky you weren't tied down when the job came along, huh?
No, my job was remote so I was location independent and not tied down.
Houses in Cali are worth nearly a million bucks. And there are an endless supply of buyers in the market, mostly investors.
You can move out to the desert (like by palm springs) and do what I'm doing, get cheap land out there, do homestead stuff.
Dev's feelings toward California...

The sun was low in the sky on a warm summer late afternoon. I was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a tight fitted white t shirt. I was drinking from a can of pineapple juice, when I spilled the juice all over the front of my white t shirt. I had to pull off my t shirt with the sun hitting my tan chest and arms. I hung my shirt up outside after I washed it in my tub. The end.
I ate a can of baked beans mixed with a can of navy beans with a ham sammich and now I have gas.
Hmm I don't know if i would mix them. I used to put olive oil in my canned beans and mash it up.

My logic was that the can of plain navy beans will make the baked beans less sweet and make the food go a longer way... that many beans will last me for a few days. I just eat them cold out of the fridge, I don't ever heat them.
