I mean I wanna do some CRAZY life and death kinda shit...
Not like tight rope walking between a couple skyscrapers, I don't really wanna get THAT crazy.
I want to do something that kind of has an illusion of safety built in. So like acrobatics above water or a giant trampoline or something.
I'm not talking shit like lion taming or something either. I don't want the will of any other beings involved here.
Something highly physical...
I want to defy gravity using as little material as possible.
I want to sail through the air whilst dancing.
Aerial silks are cool but there's a bunch of intricate shit you gotta do. It's... calculated. I don't really like the idea of that.
Then there's the Lyra hoop but... that shit looks painful. It's pretty but meh.
Although I might be able to do some interesting things with a giant peice of metal shaped like an unsmashed staple.
I really would like to just hang out in a harness and fly around doing some air dancing and crazy shit where I make use of a huge area. My only qualm with that is that harnesses are kinda bulky and don't look that great. Could cover it up somehow though.
Oh hell yes bitch, that is what I'm talking about.
Apparently what I'm describing is called "bungee".
It looks like bungee is mostly just an up and down kinda thing though...
I need to cover the area of a football field with that shit, not just jump up and down.
Nah nah nah...
That bungee shit ain't gonna work. I want one damn point of suspension, not two.
And I want to cover a LARGE area.
This is bullshit...
I want it NOW.
Just like in that video up there, only not next to a fuckin' wall.
Could hang it from the middle of the ceiling and just get a bunch of momentum going to work the whole room I guess. The rope would have to be long enough to cover good area but still be up high.
Is this a thing?
Make it a thing.
Let's do it now.
Man fuck bungee, I don't wanna touch the ground or a wall at all in this process.
I want to be suspended from a fucking fiber optic flashing neon cord... gotta soup that shit up.
That would have a pretty intense tracer effect though... I'd have to be lit up too. And wearing some crazy sparkly flared out clothes with a bunch of extra material to throw around.
Hmmm. Yeah on second thought, no fiber optic cord, it's too distracting... WTF was I thinking?!
You don't wanna draw attention to the fucking rope... that was the dumbest idea ever.
You want to distract from the rope as much as possible...
So I would definitely need to be lit up.
So I would be suspended at a single point from a rope with the harness kinda hidden under some cool sparkly material that I could throw around and make it look like wings or some mystical shit like that while I'm dancing.
It's like WEARING the aerial silks whilst flying in a harness.
Flying around in a harness isn't life threatening though...
That would literally be the safest circus shit out there.
I'm not going with the harness because I'm a pussy, it's just the closest thing that can achieve the affect I'm trying to have.
Bungee trapeze acrobats aren't pussies because THEY wear harnesses, and I'm not either.
Besides, I bet it's way harder than it sounds.
Aerial hammock seems like it'd be pretty cool too though, seems like it would be a lot less calculated and more free than the silks.
The Lyra hoop is great, but I'd rather hang around on some flat metal. What looks like a metal doorway with no walls.
I want to invent an entirely new acrobatics gig... some weird fusion that nobody's thought of.
A big metal "doorway" made out of poles would be pretty cool because you could pole dance, climb the poles, hang off the top like a single monkey bar.
Bars are so hard though.
At least silks are nice and soft.
Hmmm.
The hammock would be best.
The problem with the harness is that there's nothing to use as a catalyst and the only feasible version of it would probably be bungee... and bungee is fine, I could maybe settle for that.
But in the same token, I don't really understand why we couldn't hang like a single silk and attach the harness to that and climb the silk and fly around on the harness too.
Maybe I'm missing some key points about gravity here.
Something like this should be achievable though.
