Before I saw this interview, I was pretty convinced the guy was just a crackpot, but now I think he is just doing his best to get people to think outside the box about future discoveries. 3I Atlas has been a great opportunity to theorize about how an intelligent alien craft might approach us. With all the hype his stories have gotten, I think he's been successful in his mission. He must be pretty pleased right now. I expect the whole thing to die down from this point forward, and it'll likely turn out to be a "dead" comet.

1:06:05 - 1:07:20 roflmao.
Honestly that part just makes me think the whole story was BS cuz... there is no fucking way humanity is the worst in the universe. It's prolly just "regular" bad. Like standard bad. If humans are the "worst" in the universe, then the rest of the universe is paradise. Please.
The Twilight Zone told us 65 years ago, people are alike all over...

Fannie, maybe we should start wearing grey or dull silver jumpsuits to attract the Aliens.

I'm SUPER DOWN with this. I'm hardcore into the Y2K "space silver" aesthetic right now.

Art Bell and John Lear, 1994.
Sigh...

John Lear. What a legend.
We all used to hang out (online) with John Lear in the early 2000s. He was generous with his time and loved answering questions.

Avi's still not letting up.

20km, gawd.

1/500 isn't that crazy tho.

2:40 lmao, he's clever.
Quote:The typical comet's nucleus, its solid core, is generally between 1 and 10 kilometers (0.6 to 6 miles) in diameter. While some comets, like Hale-Bopp, can be much larger (around 40 km), most comets observed in the inner solar system fall within the 1-10 km range.

Other sources say H-B was apparently between 40 and 70km.

I dunno, the whole 3I Atlas thingy doesn't seem all that unusual.

We just have more sensitive tech to find this kinda stuff now.

Not a big deal.

Avi is using up all his crying wolf cards, burnin' through that shit for real.

I still stand by the fact that it's a tactic on his part, he's just trying to wake people up to this new era of space observation.

But damn... his reputation is gonna be kinda crap after this whole thing passes.

It'll recover prolly, but he's pretty damn old. He can't do this too many more times.

Then again, nobody would be talking about him right now if he wasn't doing this.

I've been suspicious of this chick and everyone else in the UFO hearings.

Gonna try to watch a little bit of this later and see if my opinion changes.
4:27...

O_O
Oh dear.
Cat's outta the bag.
I didn't expect Miss Luna to actually fucking deliver truth.

Oo, damn.
