I fed Elvis some cat treats a little while ago, and he was lovey-dovey afterwards. His purrs sound kind of strange, as though his purr box was damaged in the attack.

Yeah the purr may never go back to normal and it probably isn't because of the injury DIRECTLY.

I've witnessed with some outside cats I've had to do the emergency vet thing with more than a couple times...

Once they get injured and close to checking out in ANY way (no matter where the injury is) for some reason it effects their vocals.

As for the spray, just thank fucking God you ain't gotta deal with no pills.

While he was lovin' up on me, he rubbed the wound against my clothes and left some slightly bloodstained fluid on them. It left no stains after it dried though.

People doctors are shit, but I like animal doctors.

I'd rather get taken care of by a vet than a regular doctor.

It was after hours though and the poor cat was in a pretty unacceptable state so I had to take her in.

He injected her and that's all I remember...

Just took her home and kept her inside for a day or 2 and she totally lived.

You hear the term thrown around a lot and referred to as different things but they are basically spirit animals...

Animals come into your life to assist you or teach you something.

In the archetype of the dog for example, they're often used as security so their legitimate use is plain to see.

Cats aren't really like that though...

I prefer what they do to what dogs do.

I am just not a dog person and I hate the barking and all that shit.

But yeah it's sad to lose good pets, I mean it's honestly worse than a lot of people deaths, I mean not ALL cases are gonna be the same but...

They are like family dude.

I just don't recommend fucking around with that, but at the same time since the nature of animals (pets) is to assist/teach, then they WILL come into your life when those things are necessary...

So you can't just SWEAR them off forever.

But, I think if they can be avoided, they should be avoided.

I got 8 squirts of it in the vicinity of the wound in 3 separate squirting sessions. Two or three squirts at a time before he bolted and I had to retrieve him for the next round of squirts. They weren't precision squirts by any means neither. Hopefully enough of the spray will run down inside the wound to cover it.

Maybe the vet prescribed 8 squirts because he knew half of the squirts wouldn't amount to shit.

Yeah you gotta go ham whenever they're spraying involved.

I like to put some soft music on and dance around a little bit beforehand so they don't expect what I'm gonna do with my body.
