Gotta say I'm loving the taller screen on this box. My laptop screen was rather cramped vertically.

They only appear to Guests (folks who aren't logged in).

In case you're wondering why I'm sitting at my desk rather than reclining seductively like Cleopatra on a chaise, half-naked slaves fanning me with palm leaves as I indulge languidly in wine and honey, it's because my laptop has developed a weird problem. The mouse pointer flits very rapidly all over the screen, clicking everything in sight and wreaking general havoc. It's unusable. An error message I was getting said there was an error in Cinnamon, the desktop environment I was using. I uninstalled Cinnamon and reverted to the default Ubuntu desktop, but it got even worse.

I could've sworn the wifi didn't work at all on this PC when last I fooled with it, but I'm very relieved it does.

No flaky cursor. This confirms the laptop has a hardware fault.
