They can go ahead and cancel that shit. They need to put all their funds into the main show.

They really did only make it for flashback footage.

Fucking brilliant.

Imagine a show being so successful that they make an entire separate show just to supply the main show with B-roll.

You ain't gotta imagine it...

It's called DEXTER baby, muwahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we all need to touch nipples together in celebration of this auspicious day.

Take your shirts off, let's get together in a circle and unite our nipples which are undoubtedly hard with excitement over this news.

No money going toward Original Sin means more money going toward Resurrection.

It's a good day.

However I will say this...

I am thoroughly suspicious of the announcement.

I hope it's not an "outrage gauge" fakeout situation where they decide to bring Original Sin back based on how many fans demand it.

That would suck, because I don't have time to devote to watching any future seasons of Original Sin OR ANY OTHER DEXTER SPINOFF.

I've heard they may be doing a spinoff based on the origin of Trinity/Arthur Mitchell.

I hope to God it ain't true.

It's a waste of time and resources, and no one needs it.

But if they do decide to make it anyway (don't) then I would say there's a chance it could be better than OG Sin.

Which BTW since I never rated Original Sin, let me do that now, 4/10 stars.

The 'Trinity Killer' spinoff could maybe be a 4.5 or a 5/10 rating, max.

Do not take resources away from Resurrection.

John Lithgow was incredible as Arthur Mitchell, but season 4 is massively overhyped in my opinion. The character is not worthy of its own spinoff.

Hot garbage.

Not season 4, lmao. I meant a Trinity prequel or other spinoff.

Just... absolutely unnecessary.

At some point they have to accept that when Michael C. Hall decides he is done with Dexter for good, the whole thing is over.

At some point I'll be making a list of demands about the future of Dexter as a show.

Stay tuned.

(They've already got the whole thing written from start to finish, so it's pointless, but I'ma do it anyway.)

People are already raging so hard over Original Sin being cancelled...

Facepalm

I'm just trying to imagine it from their perspective, I guess.

This reminds of the recent outcry when OpenAI upgraded to GPT 5 and everyone went APESHIT over the loss of 4o.

They were fucking hysterical, "OMG MY CHATBOT BOYFRIEND IS BEING SOOoooOoOooOoo COLD TO ME NOW, HIS PERSONALITY IS GONE, OMG!!!"

They went so apeshit that OpenAI brought back 4o and a couple other legacy models as options.

After a few days of using GPT 5 everyone was like, "Actually it's not so bad."

Well no bullshit it's not so bad, it's the SAME FUCKING THING ONLY BETTER.

I'm sorry, but sometimes you CANNOT listen to the fanbase.

You just can't.

You can't let them make important decisions.

OpenAI learned that in the future they can't just release the next/better version of ChatGPT without leaving at least the most favored legacy model as an option for a while until they quietly phase it out...

It's all psychological.

Anyone saying OG Sin needs another season, or that there needs to be an Arthur Mitchell prequel has horrible judgement.

Frankly I'm concerned that the showrunners even shopped the idea in the first place.

And bear in mind that Clyde still thinks Dexter needs to be put in prison and die by lethal injection or whatever...

https://www.eonline.com/news/461558/chil...the-series

BORRRRRINNNNG.

I don't trust that guy to do the right thing at all. Even though he's made a great show, it's not like he alone is the end all be all authority on what the hell should happen to Dexter.

I cringe on some soul deep shit whenever I see people suggest that Dex needs to get caught and go to prison, and some even say be put to death.

It's so lame.

Dexter needs to die of natural causes if he ever dies on screen at all.

Michael C. fucking Hall is the end all be all authority on what happens to Dexter.

He could choose the shittiest ending ever for the show and it'd still be within his right for it to end the way he wants it to.

I wouldn't be happy about it, but this character belongs to him (and Jeff Lindsay) and therefore, what he says goes.

Jeff killed Dexter in the last book, but it wasn't on some lame "justice" bullshit.
