That poor guy. I really hate hearing about people so hurting inside that they end their own lives. Only 26.

Why is it always people who are so talented and have everything going for them too?

Too many of us are lost to hopelessness. The more we depend on perceivable reality to fulfill our lives, the more control hopelessness has over our lives and our society. Everyone lives in a life of adversities, some great and some small. Often our obstacles can seem impregnable from the physical world view. But when one has a heart open to the inconceivable truth of a greater power at the helm the path to hope is always possible. Our obstacles melt away like the spring thaw and life blossoms before us. This is why we should walk this life's path together. Consumed with control over our lives and our selves we are our own worst enemy. Connected we open our souls and give way for hope and grace to dominate in our lives again. Like childhood innocents we can once again experience each moment with unanticipated enthusiasm.

"I am not a demon in my darkness. I am a Child with wide eyed wonder at the light of possibilities yet to come ."

It's unclear whether his death was a suicide, or a deadly mixture of pharmaceuticals... accidental.

The world was a different place for Nick than it is for a lot of us...

He had synesthesia, but that is basically never discussed.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia

So his senses/perception were different, and it's likely it went a lot farther than just association of numbers/words with colors, etc. Who knows what he saw and sensed.

I have the biographical book that was comprised of some photos and writings and stories from people who knew him. The book is called "Remembered For a While", which was inspired by lyrics from his song "Fruit Tree" which is about fame...

Interesting that he's only become 'famous' decades after being deceased. Prophetic in a sense, but also just a common sense, general observation. Some of his songs are a lil too sad for my tastes, but still totally amazing.

This is a page from the book, it's a poem his mom wrote:

That poem is about him having synesthesia. Seems like people thought it was just some cute stuff kids say, and it doesn't seem to have ever been addressed.

My guess is that as he grew up, he became more and more introverted... basically just never talked to people about this stuff.

There's no footage of Nick Drake as an adult... some people think that this is him though:

That is amazing. I never heard of this before. It sounds like looking at the world through a kaleidoscope. Unimaginable.

There are many people who have this kind of perception... and I've found that a lot of them seem to be great musicians.

More proof of the frequency/vibrational nature of existence.

Wow, I'd never heard of that before either.

It seems like his death was suicide to me though. Its like a very common thread in people who are tortured with severe depression.

Not sure whether this is more curse or blessing. The experience uncontrolable would be both awesome and overwhelming at the same time.

I wouldn't like it. It would give me anxiety and probably trigger a panic attack. Mushrooms always gave me panic attacks when I was coming down and I'd think this would seem similar.

I had one of those once, recently. Enough to put you off mushrooms I would say. :)
I might suppose if it had always been like that it would just be like another sense or a combined result that we would recgnize intimately. A flicker or wave might alert movement otherwise ignored. But from this perspetive it would overwhelm. Nugent Great White Buffalo concert on acid infinitely. lol :)

well cause you only bother to think about the well known suicides so naturally those are somewhat talented otherwise they wouldn't have been well known to begin with, and apart from that nick drake didn't have shit going for himself besides an unrecognised talent to create great music, which even when recognised still isn't goddamn much to have going for yourself, unless you're some celebrity worshipping dipshit posting stupid ass opinions without taking anything at all into consideration

if you really hate hearing about such "poor cases" you should stop thinking about them like that cause that kind of bullshit pushes people into those heights of despair

The consideration "poor cases" is not meant to be a negative. It is sympathy! And yes sympathy can be taken wrong or expressed wrong. That is why the best place for people with suicidal tendencies, or any physical/psychological issue for that matter, to find help is with those either trained to help or those who have conquered their own surrender. Empathy. That word keeps coming up tonight for some reason.

Just as your comment Elaine can come off as an aggression. Sympathy can come off wrong as well. But healthy minds should recognize that and not take it in offense.

Empathy is a delusion, a word to pretend you're experiencing what someone else is experiencing to mainly comfort yourself, another flaw in our interaction. Let the trained ones take care of the rest, so our mouths are clean.

I can't find a take-away message in your post although it does sound like you were trying to come up with one  also have no clue what "those who have conquered their own surrender" means in that context, mostly think you're full of shit and I know quite well what my comments come off as.

Healthy minds should stop believing they're healthy so the rest of the minds no longer have to be ill, that's my take-away message for you, dipshit
