As you know I have been studying the effects of certain colors of light on the body/mind...

Genba also pointed out on the above linked thread:
Essentially, if you look into it, the areas of the body/mind (and the ailments etc.) which certain colors of light treat just happen to be linked to the colors of the chakras and the parts of the body they represent.
Is it coincidence? I think not.
Is it a bunch of hooplah? I think not.
The color of the food (we're talking fruits and vegetables here, not fake food) directly corresponds to the parts of the body/mind it benefits the most, and likewise, it treats the ailments associated with those areas.
Here's something I found on my first Google search about this topic:

http://treeoflifecenterus.com/chakras-an...nbow-diet/

To me, this looks like just another matter of common sense truths being forgotten in the midst of a corporate world where we have been brainwashed into eating all out of balance with what nature intended.
For example, my thread about the 80/20 alkaline/acidic diet:
http://www.sectual.com/thread-5346.html
We are meant to balance between these alkaline and acidic foods so that the pH levels in our bodies can be balanced.
Disease can't thrive in an alkaline environment:

Of course if you look around, there are many articles out there (mostly from industry leaders in the pharmaceutical fields) which argue that it isn't true. It benefits them to put out disinfo about this topic since their economic livelihood depends on people being sick...
If ever you are curious about the notion of 80/20 alkaline/acidic eating, there is plenty of propaganda out there meant to skew your search for the truth.
Here's another good article:

Trust your instincts.
The correlation between certain foods and their health benefits which coincide with the different parts of the body is not coincidence and it only makes sense that this is how it would work.

all matter is just energy in a certain state. all is energy. proper application of energy is akin to using a tuning fork to retune the harmonic state of matter.
