He basically maintains that his wife is his 'biggest troll' and that she comes into the room and pretends to be nice but then makes lots of passive aggressive comments toward him. The issue with this for anyone besides Zane is that so much is lost in translation re: text communications, it's hard to know whether she actually is being mean, or if that's merely how she communicates with Zane. It's hard to know whether she's actually trolling, or if that's just their relationship.

The impression I get is that Zane has known his wife since they were pretty young, and he idealizes her as a connection to his youth. What she represents is the comfort (even if it's only conceptual) of a more simple and carefree time. She's his 'anchor' to the past.

Nah he’s was just hungover and mad that everyone doesn’t hate me. I actually am a really nice person. Very odd to read assumptions and inferences about my life. Perhaps time would be better spent to figure out why one feels the incessant urge to save the broken. Or to wonder why he has no family, no old friends willing to help. Perhaps all the bridges have been torched to the ground and he is looking for new bridges to decimate. Or not, what do I know.

I am brutally honest though. That might be what gets me in trouble. I hold the mirror up and some people don’t want to see. It’s really not fair that a woman gets labeled a bitch when she is honest but a guy would be praised for keeping it real.
And at the end of the day y’all only hear half of the story. There’s always another side to the story.

Then why not block her, that's another reason why I think this is a charade. She obviously keeps that phone on. The older I get the less I believe cause so many people are deceitful these days for the almighty petro dollar. For all I know he has no wife and/or kids. Its entertainment to me weather its truth or not.

Not what I said at all. But I have learned it’s not my responsibility to save him, nor could I if I tried. It’s all up to him.

I've seen this before.

Guy loves his high school sweetheart (maybe they didn't even date in HS, but they knew each other then) and carries the obsession into his 30s (or beyond) because of the reason I stated earlier...

Well I mean of course it’s a scheme to get money. Doesn’t make it any less real. But yeah he considers this his 9-5. Unfortunately the insurance and benefits (and actual money) suck. Lol
