Anybody else find this hard to deal with??
I’ve always been severely effected by dry indoor air due to heating during winter...
I run a humidifier ALL DAY AND NIGHT and it helps like 70%, but I still have issuses with sinus symptoms no matter how much I try to get moisture in the air.
It FUCKING sucks. I’m not sure if it’s dry air in general because whenever I’ve visited dry climates, I’ve felt fine.
I think it’s just the totally unnatural circumstance of heating in the winter...
It’s like we live in these bubbles where we try to force a fake atmosphere, but it’s surrounded by the real climate outside... it’s like it creates this friction and resistance.

And in the summer when there’s too much humidity inside, I sneeze all the time and have to run a dehumidifier.
If I go outside, whether it’s hot as heck or freezing, I start feeling better immediately.
I think living in houses is just a slow death... it’s like, if you were totally comfortable whilst slowly dying, then it wouldn’t be that bad. But this isn’t even comfortable, and it’s due to the totally fake climate and the conditioning of the air.
I just feel like this is so unnatural and living outside or in a cave or something would be preferable.
Dude, I fucking HATE forced air heating. I prefer radiant heat with no fan blowing it around.
Forced air heating doesn't even make me feel warm when it's cold as fuck outside. It just makes the air feel warm. It doesn't do anything for the chill in my bones.
If I build a house, it'll definitely have hot water circulating under the floors.
I bought a thin panel mica space heater a few years ago that I sort of liked. The only problem with it was that it didn't throw the heat far enough. The technology was fairly new then. Maybe they'll improve. If I get another space heater, it'll probably be one of the quartz tube types.
I think under-floor radiant heat would be ideal in new construction though. The hardest part of my body to get warm is my feet. I can't sleep until my feet are warm. Conversely, if my feet are warm, it doesn't matter if the rest of my body is slightly cool. When my feet are warm, I'm warm.
I used to have a kitty named Speed Bump. I named her Speed Bump because she was always under foot. Every time I turned around, she was right there. A more loyal and devoted cat I've never met. In winter, she would crawl under the covers down by my feet and keep them warm. I do miss her so.

It fucking HURTS.
I have experienced a lot of different types of heating...
Radiators (absolutely none of this dry air bullshit whatsoever), forced air (God awful), gas heat (God awful) and all kinds of electric heat.
I turn the humidifier on high and I STILL wake up with a headache and dried out sinus discomfort almost every day.

At least I KNOW what it is that's making me feel like shit though... like it's not a mystery. It's dry as fuck and that's the problem. It's honestly killing me. I don't think I'll be living another winter in this dynamic again.

Bro...
I can't even lie...
I actually thought about it.
I THOUGHT ABOUT IT.
I did.
And it's so weird you post this considering it legitimately crossed my mind.
Like WHY would it cross my mind??
Life is too weird, I can't.
I don't actually know where the Cobbit Ship place is though.
You can build your own Hobbit house. It's the easiest thing in the world.
