The Wuhan Coronavirus

Too many shutdowns will have global economic consequences, so if the coronavirus isn't serious, then what is the end game?

What rules/laws and infrastructure could they be putting in place and for what future purpose?

I dunno...

I just seriously doubt that we'll see global catastrophies in these obvious kinda forms...

It's always covert shit instead. Mostly.

Is it foolish to think we couldn't see some kinda global pandemic in our time?? I guess it kinda is... I mean they saw it in 1918. Wasn't even that long ago. My great grandma who remembered when that took place just died 5 or 6 years back.

A major pandemic every 100 years is kinda frequent IMO. Seems unlikely to happen again so soon, but I mean with almost 8 billion people on the planet... agh, maybe it's obvious that it's a real possibility.

It's just hard to think that something like that could really happen in our time. I'm more likely to believe it's some kind of covert war rather than being something that just randomly sprang up.

4:18 what he's saying reminds me of being on the airport rail link in Bangkok...

How close everyone is to each other, packed in like sardines, touching and breathing the same air.

It's very eerie to look at such a situation through the lens of a pandemic scenario.

I was shocked by everyone's comfortability with a total lack of personal space. I find such situations upsetting, but they all pretty much leaned into it and I could tell they were wholly densitized to being that close with random strangers...

Any deadly communicable illness such as a coronavirus would take out a ton of people anywhere there's this dynamic of huge populations and mass transit.

Dear China,

Could you please stop eating/fucking just anything that catches your eye?

Some say it came from a snake, some say it came from bats...

Others say it came from the Wuhan National Biosafety lab, and their theory is more plausible than it coming from a contaminated food market.

When you have a facility devoted to studying the most deadly pathogens in the world in a city which then becomes the epicenter of a breakout of a never before seen virus...

Common sense would dictate that it could be escaped from the lab. Anywhere else, that wouldn't be the case... but in Wuhan, it's probable.

Some people are saying this is one of the reasons they split up the royal family...

It could be so.

Historically, it's a rarely discussed fact that they divvy out the royals into various communities before some major shit goes down.

Take for example Queen Anne...

She had 17 children, all purported to have died. Not a single one lived? Seems against the mathematical odds. Though some really did die, what history doesn't explain is that she was to be the last Stuart monarch, and her offspring were distributed into the population.

These times we are living in will not be dull.

Quote:not surprised at all at the scale of the Coronavirus outbreak in China...even the “cleaner” areas like Shanghai/Beijing have sh*t health standards

Most bathrooms don’t have soap/even if they did ppl don’t wash their hands

in general the BASELINE for public health is so damn low

It's starting to look more and more likely that this thing really did escape from the Wuhan lab.

This is the narrative falling away...

China's known about this since November and have been formulating phases of damage control ever since.

I can't find the article now [accidentally closed the tab] but they're
sending US embassy diplomats home from Wuhan. Now, to me that
sounds kinda serious. Or they're at least trying to make it look serious.
