"Will Smith just smacked the shit out of me."
#1

Everybody's been talking about this so I just looked it up to watch for myself.

Dude that thud was real AF!

Gotta be a deeper reason to the shit.

What is the history among these people, or is it a matter of Will Smith and his wife being targeted by the warped hollywood mafia illuminatos?

Apparently it was a reference to alopecia...

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/03/28/gi...kett-smith

Which is supposedly why she's got her hair buzzed...

This 'joke' was to 'make light' of the situation by suggesting she be cast for a sequel to "GI Jane" (1997) because in the original Demi Moore sported a buzzed head.

So I guess my question is...

Was Chris Rock paid to make this joke and told that he HAD to do it?

It's the fucking Oscars, not a Will Smith roast.

Nobody in their right mind would make that joke.

I do believe it was real though, the whole interaction definitely didn't seem anticipated on the part of Chris Rock.

Maybe Will was disgusted that Chris Rock would agree to take payment to make that joke, just for the headlines it would generate.

Nobody cares about the Oscars anymore, they had to do something.

Look at the views on that video...

Almost 10 mil. since yesterday, lots of ad money.

So, is it a simple case of hollywood bribery, Chris has such low moral standards that he is willing to 'sell his soul' to make a TERRIBLE joke at the Oscars in order to burn Will Smith...

Or did Chris Rock honestly come up with it himself and decide that it was legitimately a good idea?

I'm going with they paid him to say it and Will Smith was disgusted that he took the deal and went through with it.

So Will Smith was defending his wife's honor, which is all well and good...

But if Jada hadn't reacted the way she did to it (with her facial expression) then I don't think Will Smith would have been so triggered.

I think the both of them should have tried to pick up the ball of class that Chris Rock absolutely dropped at the podium, and just shook their heads at him, 'pearl clutching' disgust style...

Honestly, you'd think that two Grade A hollywood actors (Pinkett and Smith) would have been able to pull that off, leaving ONLY Chris to look like the madman/asshole.

Quote:Rock declined to file a police report, and joked backstage after the punch: "That's the only time you get hit by Muhammad Ali and it doesn't leave a scratch," the comedian said, in reference to Smith's title role in the legendary boxer's biographical film.

Shouldn't have to resort to petty violence
Over a joke he maybe thought would of been funny. Perhaps not the smartest approach.
Chris Rock did say he "loves jade and such before the Jane joke.
Regardless resorting to violence is low
Everyone roasts eachotherin that sphere of comedies.
Nothing should resort to that kind of violence
Escpecially when it comes to these roasting things
Which should be banned amongst other western behaviours the government let's run wild in modern society

Shouldn't matter if he did or didn't file a report the police should be arresting him charging him with civil disobedience like any other common person

Had will smith knocked him into a coma his career would of been over
People should realize that fighting could result in death of another person.
And they could do serious jail time if not for life

Jada looks fire with buzzed hair though, and I hadn't heard about any of the alopecia stuff before this so I had no idea it was a thing. I thought that was just the style she was doing these days, there are always a few women in the biz with the buzzed hair. Not sure what other health conditions alopecia is associated with though, but it's gotta be associated with something else. It seems more like the symptom of another illness rather than a stand-alone illness. Could be lupus.

It could be a act. If you play the video in slow motion Chris stands there and stomps his left foot and sticks his head out.
I thought maybe it was a act but it dosnt appear to be as he does look to be hi unsuspectively and there was no sudden face gesture that appears otherwise.
The thwacking sound. I thought maybe will maybe slapped his side arm before hitting his face but clearly not.
Chris dosnt appear to be anticipating the smack

When your about to get hit that quickly you don't have time to even close your eyes. There was no facial expression prior to the slap

I think Chris thought they would of laughed at the Jane joke. But obviously in bad humor. Like hi Jane is a good movie of like woman masculine strength right? Isn't that what western woman like?

You see how Will Smith's adrenaline was after he sat back down. The heart goes into overkill really.
I'm all to familiar with this feeling.
I've had to defend myself numberous times from people who get worked up and excited like that.
When I'm engaged in these conflicts these excited emotions don't work on me anymore.
In that position you have to remain calm and steady
It's hard to do but with practice you can over come those adrenaline rushes when engaged in self defence.
When your able to remain calm and steady in these situations your able to be in that moment in self defence. While there adrenaline is pumping and time dosnt register properly for them

I didn't even see Sloan's vid about this til just now, he was totally hidden amidst all my other subs. I was wondering where his address to this situation was?!

ROFL

I'm not sure why people keep calling it a "slap", it looked like a loose fist punch to me.

I guess they're using "slap" and "smack" to downplay the situation.

Everyone is pointing out that Will laughed at the joke to begin with, but it's when Jada gets that look on her face that Will Smith flies into a rage.

Without her reaction, it wouldn't have happened...

I think Will Smith over-reacted to her reaction.

He should have just joined her in shaking his head and conveying a disgusted expression.

And that's it.

Open palm to side of head. Could of been deadly. Could of knocked him out and he could of went face first into the floor dead. So stupid of will

What Chris needed to do was stretch his arm off and back away from this instance. There are so many self defence techniques to avoid that.

1:40 it's a good point, what IS she saying/doing in those moments when it's showing Chris Rock again?

Was she talking to Will Smith and telling him to go kick his ass? Was she just continuing to merely look disgusted?

I wonder if there's another camera that shows it. Clearly the situation escalated somehow off-camera.

7:06 I mean, technically he's right.
