For the past year, figure skating has been under attack from copyright issues with the songs people are skating to.

As a result, many of these performances will be uploaded dubbed over with some heinous God awful 'free' music.

It's ruining a whole era of uploads TBH, it's a fucking disaster and it's really suspicious.

All this copyright music bullshit needs to end, these record labels are so fucking greedy and this is not the way to fight against the industry's inevitable oncoming death via AI takeover.

They'd catch more flies with honey, that's for sure.

I do see this as an attack on the popularity of figure skating in general, and we just don't need this BS right now.

Ilia's parents are Russian. He was born in Virginia, prolly on purpose.

The only way America could have a fucking prayer of getting good skating representation at the Olympics was by importing a Russian.

Ilia's RUSSIAN parents are behind his success, even if I do think they're physically irresponsible. Even though he's American, it's the FUNDING that RUSSIA put into figure skating (and other fine arts) that made him into a phenomenon.

The US is about brute sports... no class, no refinement, no delicacy. This needs to be remedied.

Judges would get on the ice and EXAMINE THE SHAPES.
