Yeah it seems to me a bit like '9' is sort of associated with disconnection... which isn't really good for electronics.

I dunno... there's something that they consider an energetic detriment/omen with '9', whether it's a detriment to them or the public, who knows. But of course I would assume it's a detriment to them and the carrying out of their agenda in some way.
