If there wasn't anything pushing on it from the north, that system in the Gulf would pull it along south Florida and into the Gulf no problem.
How much the north flow can actually affect Dorian's movement southwest is the only question.

As it stands now, if the north flow is actually strong enough to affect Dorian substantially, it'll pull it northerly for an impact around some area north of Titusville...
If it can't affect it that much then the hurricane will hit central Florida. If it can't make a dent in it at all, then Dorian could make it over to the Gulf, but I see that as unlikely. The north flow will probably pull Dorian northerly, but in my opinion nothing is going to spare the east coast of Florida from a direct hit by Dorian at least a category 3. Maybe cat. 2 if some kinda miracle happens.

Well I dunno, but it's what I was talking about when I said all that shit forming in the Gulf is about to meet up with Dorian and give it even more impetus to head southwest... By a little or a lot, doesn't really matter... It's steering into Florida and that's all there is to it.

TBH the best thing that can be said about it is that it's doubtful to make it over Florida and into the Gulf as a full fledged hurricane.
Unless it goes all the way around the bottom of Florida which would require a pretty serious southerly turn, so I doubt that... Won't be much of a southerly turn, it'll just be enough to keep it on track straight into Florida.
