I don't even like Fiona TBH, but now Emmy Rossum better be set for life because that's who she will be seen as from here on out. Not like she can't do other work, but it's always just gonna be Fiona.
It's a slap in the face to everybody on that show... for real.
What's his nuts William basically encouraged Emmy to "escape" the confines because she's such a great actress or whatever... that's totally not even true, she's another 'just being themselves' actor. But what does set her apart is her singing ability... she's actually pretty decent musically and should pursue a career on stage (in musicals) from now on. On screen, she's Fiona, but on stage she could actually have the opportunity to act (and sing) rather than be typecast.
I think what Macy really meant was that she needed to escape that dirty world of hollyweird acting altogether.
