That's just how it is on message boards.

I consider this site an art project and I like it when everyone wears a consistent avatar for our roleplaying endeavors.

I try to never change my avatar and usually only do it if I change the name/persona entirely.

I'm sure you've been on a lot of forums in the past as it's clear you're no novice at this, I really appreciate that about you.

So I'm sure you already know how this stuff works.
